Syngenta came to us with a partially-built site for their nonprofit organization, the Thought for Food Challenge. TFF Challenge gathers students from around the world to creatively problem-solve the impending global food crisis. Students sign up in teams and present their innovative solutions. The competition culminates at the Global Food Summit each year, where students meet, present, and collaborate, and the winning idea is chosen and funded.
Our involvement centered around getting the codebase finalized in preparation for the launch of the competition, as well as integrating Facebook "like" voting and an interactive badge reward system. After feedback from last year's competition, we are currently updating the site to make next year's competition even more user-friendly: A Facebook login, a team sign up and invitation system, an interactive blog, and an updated user interface.
